Ektron Object of type 'System.Int32' cannot be converted to type 'System.Web.Security.Cryptography.Purpose'

The following error may occur on versions before 8.7 of Ektron:

Object of type 'System.Int32' cannot be converted to type 'System.Web.Security.Cryptography.Purpose'

It occurs if you have installed version 4.5 of the .NET framework. The following solutions are available to fix this error:

• Upgrade to Ektron 8.7 (or beyond)
• Downgrade from version 4.5 of the .NET framework to version 4
• Disable cookie encryption in the web.config of Ektron
